# Burning $STFX

Deflationary burn mechanics are at the core of the STFX protocol. These include 2 types of burns:

1. User Generated Burns (microburn transactions)
2. Protocol Generated Burns

## User Generated Burns

We are currently developing a series of new Buy-and-Burn mechanics that allow the STFX users to access a range of premium features similar to in-game microtransactions.

To this day, the STFX Community has voted to burn over 60,000,000 $STFX tokens. This translates into 6% of the total $STFX Supply permanently removed from existence.&#x20;
