    Using STFX as a Manager:
    1. 1.
      How to create an STV?
STFX allows anyone to create their own STV (Single Trade Vault). STV is a DeFi vault that allows a trader to propose a trading idea, raise money from other users and execute their proposed trade.
To create an STV you first have to go to https://alpha.stfx.io
You will be taken to the Home page of the STFX dApp.
Once you are there, you should click on the “Create STV” button in the top right corner.
You will be taken to the “Create STV” page where you have to input the parameters of your trade idea.
The parameters that you have to fill out include Asset, Direction, Chart, Planned Entry, Planned Target, Leverage, Fundraising Time, Title and Description.
To add a chart:
  1. 1.
Navigate to tradingview.com, and identify the chart you want to use.
  2. 2.
Select the camera icon at the top right.
  3. 3.
Select copy link to the chart image.
  4. 4.
    Paste in input box.
IMPORTANT:
Planned Entry is simply a price the STV Manager is thinking of deploying their trade at. It is not binding and not a limit order. The STV Manager will manually choose when and at which price to deploy their STV later after the vault has raised money.
Planned Target is simply a price the STV Manager is thinking of closing the trade at. It is not binding and not a limit order. The STV Manager will manually choose when and at which price to close their STV in the future, after the STV has been deployed.
Using the eye icons to the right of Planned Entry, Planned Target and Leverage, you can hide such parameters from other users.
Once you have filled in all of the parameters, click on the “Create STV” button below the preview box. Sign the transaction via Metamask.
After that, you will see a pop-up that will say “STV Created Successfully”
Then, you will be taken to the Home page where you will see your newly created STV appear.
2. How to manage an STV?
Note: For the purposes of the STFX Alpha Mainnet Trading Competition, each manager will only be able to manage 1 STV at a time. Therefore, once a user created an STV, they won’t be able to create another STV until their current STV is closed.
An individual wallet can invest a minimum of 20 USDC and a maximum 2500 USDC. Vaults are currently limited to a maximum total investment of 2500 USDC.
To access the page dedicated to your STV, you can either click on the your STV in the Home page (see previous screenshot) or you can go to My STVs page. You can navigate to My STVs page in the top menu bar. This is what My STVs page will look like:
On My STVs page (previous screenshot), click on the Manage STV button and you will be taken to the page dedicated to your STV which will look like this after some USDC is invested:
If the manager doesn’t want to wait for the Fundraising period to end and already wants to deploy their trade, they can Close Fundraising & Begin Trading using the manager toolbox in the top right corner. In order to be able to Close Fundraising & Begin Trading the STV must have some deposits.
The manager of the STV can also invest in their own STV using the invest function in the manager toolbox under Cancel STV in the top right corner.
You can use the Copy link button to share the link to your STV with your friends or on other social media to help yourself raise investments.
Once you have raised some money (either from other users or invested in your own STV), and the fundraising period is over, this is what your STV page will look like:
You can open the trade by either a Market or a Limit order using the Manager toolbox in the top right corner.
Now is the time when you choose the price at which your trade will be executed by either opening a market order or setting a limit order.
Note: It's possible to set simultaneous Stop Loss and Take Profit (Limit) orders for an open STV after executing the initial trade. They will appear inside the Orders tab in the top right panel.
Reminder: Planned Entry and Planned Target are arbitrary numbers that the STV Manager simply thought about when creating their STV. They are not binding and are simply used for the purposes of communicating the general thinking of the manager at that time. The STV Manager will manually choose when and at which price to open and close their STV.
If you decide to open your trade by a limit order, you can see your limit order under the Orders tab in the manager toolbox. There you can also cancel your limit order.
Note: If the STV Manager no longer wants to execute their trade, they can use the Cancel STV button which will make the STV inactive and allow the investors to claim back their investment.
Note: If the STV Manager doesn’t open their trade within 72 hours then the STV becomes inactive, and the investors can claim back their investment.
To open the trade, you will be asked to sign a Metamask transaction.
Once you have opened your trade, a box with the statistics about your STV will appear below the manager toolbox. There you can track the performance of your trade.
To close your STV, you need to either use the market order or limit order. You will have to sign a Metamask transaction to close your STV.
Note: Because this is still an Alpha version of the STFX platform, there is no partial closing yet. We are working on adding this feature soon.
Once you close your trade, this is what your STV will look like:
In this case, the STV was not profitable; therefore the STV manager would not receive any performance fees.
3. How to cancel an STV?
After creating an STV, the manager has the option to cancel it manually before executing the planned trade. Funds invested in the canceled STV will be automatically returned to all investors.
To cancel an STV, visit the My STVs link on the top of the page. After that, click on the button Manage STV from the STV you want to cancel.
You will be redirected to the STV dashboard. Now, click on the Cancel STV button located on the right side of the page.
After clicking on Cancel STV, a pop-up menu will appear. Click on Cancel STV.
You will be asked to sign a transaction in your wallet and pay its fee. The STV is now canceled.
4. How to receive your performance fees?
Once you (STV Manager) close the trade, and that trade is profitable, your Performance Fee will automatically be sent to your wallet.
The investors who invested in your trade will be able to manually Claim their investments (+the profit) in the My Investments page.
